There is a high danger of an assault close to the air terminal in Kabul, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne says, as Canberra asked its residents and those with a visa for Australia to empty the region.
Australia has been emptying its residents and visa holders for over seven days from the Kabul air terminal, where Canberra had asked individuals to venture out to be prepared for transport.
Australia changed its recommendation to those nearby, which Payne said depended on increased worries of an assault.
“There is an ongoing and very high threat of a terrorist attack,” Payne told reporters in Canberra.
